Woodwatchhk, a Hong Kong-based brand designing and manufacturing wooden watches, sources materials from various sources, such as old furniture and construction waste, transforming them before they are discarded and giving them new life and form, creating “wood watches” that are accessible to everyone.
Woodwatchhk is the first and only watch brand in Hong Kong to use recycled wood. Through workshops and product design, the brand aims to promote the concept of “upcycling.”
This watch is crafted using the latest Epson PX85 movement. In addition to a calendar function, it is the world’s first wooden watch model to feature a GMT function. The hybrid movement combines automatic and quartz mechanisms, using an automatic watch mechanism to maintain a power reserve for up to six months.
The design features curved, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a see-through case back made of K1 glass, a quick-release strap for easy replacement, and 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for everyday use.
Woodwatchhk successfully launched its Kickstarter campaign in 2017, creating personalized watches made from recycled wood.
The materials are sourced from everyday sources, such as old furniture and construction waste, and are transformed and given new life and form before they are discarded, becoming “wood watches” in everyone’s hands.
The name “Woodwatchhk” replaces the “gold” in “watch” with the “wood” character, symbolizing its commitment to using recycled wood to create watches. The brand hopes to awaken public awareness of the harmony between humanity and nature, and to foster a shared goal of sustainable consumption.
