Oaked wines are known for their oak barrel aromas. Oaked wines are an innovative wine that allows you to control the oak aroma, elevating the wine’s flavor to another level.<\/p>\n

Original Oak Sticks
\nOur oak sticks, with corks, are used to insert wine bottles and age them. They are handcrafted from oak trees grown in Ueno Village, Tano District, in the southern tip of Gunma Prefecture. The current shape was achieved after years of research into various wine corks.<\/p>\n

Characteristics of Oak-Stewed Wines
\nWhen oak staves are used for aging, the edges of the staves are removed, mellowing the wine. The wine has a soft, slightly elegant flavor upon entering. The aroma is so tangy it feels like you’re in a wooden house, and the oak changes with aging.<\/p>\n
Suggested Serving Method
\nThis wine is full-bodied and perfect for Japanese cuisine. When combined with the smoky nuts and dried fruits, the oak’s subtle aroma creates a wine that can be enjoyed on its own.<\/p>\n

We began making wine here in 2017, hoping to bring people closer to wine and cherish the connections it brings.
\nWe chose the name BookRoad in the hope that “grapes,” “warehouses,” and “people” would be connected through invisible paths and prosper together.<\/p>\n
We are an urban winery, transporting raw grapes from our own farms or contracted farms, and crafting “Made in Tokyo” wines in a city with numerous consumers and shops. We are the only winery in Tokyo to have received three stars at the Japan Winery Awards for two consecutive years.
